Cats, dogs, and Fog

OK so im gonna be honest- it has been so foggy here the last few days that we are not quite sure what to do about it.  SO this week was interesting. District Meeting was good- we ended up teaching the restoration as a district- lets just say having to do one line of a lesson while trying to teach is not that easy- and quite hilarious. What we ended up doing is visiting with a lot of members- whether that be for food or otherwise for just a visit- and trying to help them with their missionary work. What we are trying to do is get them excited about missionary work so that they start inviting their friends and family to hear about the gospel- because that is the best way to do missionary work. Through the members! There is soooo much more to missionary work then tracting- which were able to do a little of this week- and that is of course through the members- thats how we got a baptism in my first area.  Unfortunately, member missionary work takes time to get going- so i might not even be here by the time things really start getting going with the members.  But our job is to invite others to come unto christ- unfortunately that doesn’t always mean we get to see the fruit of our labors. But it doesn’t matter about me at all- what matters most is that THEY come unto Christ- and if i can help in someone then i am grateful to be a part of it. We were also able to visit a good number of returning members- on friday we actually got a call from a Less active that calle dus out of the blue and wanted to know if we could visit! She has had a hard time, but i could tell the spirit prompted her to call us! its a great privilege to be someone calls if they need help.  I always want to be that person! so glad i am on a mission. Unfortunately It is very depressing at times. But at the same time if i didnt get depressed then i wouldnt be able to appreciate the miracles. Also, elder perry is allergic to cats and dogs- and on friday we visted people and had a total of 3 cats and 2 dogs in the houses- in addition to cigarettes we smelled like from the houses we were in- its literally a miracle he did not start reating until we got home for the night.  Well, take care- gotta go, loves!

Scripture-  2nd Nephi 2:11-13

11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility.

12 Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore there would have been no purpose in the end of its creation. Wherefore, this thing must needs destroy the wisdom of God and his eternal purposes, and also the power, and the mercy, and the justice of God.

13 And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away.
